FAQ — CWT Logistics

Question 1

How do I get started with CWT Logistics?

Accepted Answer

Getting started is simple. Call or text us, or fill out the contact form on our website. We'll have a quick conversation about your equipment, preferred lanes, and goals — and get you set up with a dedicated dispatcher, usually within 24 hours.

Question 2

Do I need to sign a long-term contract?

Accepted Answer

No long-term contracts required. We work on a flexible agreement that you can cancel with proper notice. We believe our service should speak for itself — not a contract.

Question 3

What information do I need to provide to get started?

Accepted Answer

We'll need your MC number, DOT number, insurance certificate, and carrier packet. We'll walk you through everything during onboarding — it's a straightforward process.

Question 4

How does the dispatch process work day-to-day?

Accepted Answer

Your dedicated dispatcher monitors load boards and our broker network to find loads that match your equipment and lanes. When we find a good load, we call or text you with the details and rate. You approve it, we book it, and we handle all the paperwork and check calls from there.

Question 5

Do I have to accept every load you find?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely not. You always have final say on every load. We present options, you decide. We never book a load without your explicit approval.

Question 6

What types of freight do you dispatch?

Accepted Answer

We dispatch dry van, flatbed, reefer, and specialized freight. If you have specific equipment or freight preferences, let us know during onboarding and we'll focus on matching loads accordingly.

Question 7

What lanes do you cover?

Accepted Answer

We cover all 48 contiguous states. Whether you run regional, OTR, or dedicated lanes, we can find freight that fits your operation.

Question 8

How much does dispatch service cost?

Accepted Answer

We charge a flat percentage of the gross load rate — typically between 5–10% depending on your fleet size and freight type. You only pay when we earn. Contact us for a custom quote.

Question 9

Are there any hidden fees?

Accepted Answer

None. Our pricing is fully transparent. The percentage we quote is what you pay — no setup fees, no monthly minimums, no surprise deductions.

Question 10

When do I pay the dispatch fee?

Accepted Answer

The dispatch fee is deducted from each load settlement. You'll always see a clear breakdown of the gross rate, our fee, and your net pay before you agree to any load.

Question 11

What happens if I break down or have an emergency on the road?

Accepted Answer

Call your dispatcher immediately. We're available 24/7 and will help coordinate roadside assistance, notify the broker, and work on finding a recovery load once you're back on the road.

Question 12

How do I communicate with my dispatcher?

Accepted Answer

You'll have a direct line to your dedicated dispatcher via phone and text. No call centers, no ticket systems — just a real person who knows your account.

Question 13

Can I switch dispatchers if it's not a good fit?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We want the relationship to work for you. If you'd like to work with a different dispatcher on our team, just let us know and we'll make it happen.
